Why is male bravado or hypermasculine behavior in the African
American community a negative contributor to school success?
If African American males have high belief levels of their academic
ability, why does their academic performance continue to be
below standard? How do we switch from the dysfunctional behavior of the
street to the engaging behavior in the classroom?
