COVID 1619 (Grade 3 – 5)

“Covid 1619: When Racism Began in America” is an anti-racism book aimed at empowering Black youth in grades 3-5. In a time where racism is acknowledged as America’s top issue, many Black youths struggle with the stereotype that being intelligent equates to acting white. This book provides Black youth with the tools necessary to combat racism, drawing on elements of history, culture, and values.
